About Hanne
Growing up in Europe and having had the privilege of moving and traveling frequently gave me the wonderful opportunities to experience the different approaches to life and health. In Japan and many European countries, for example, people are still embracing the same holistic health treatments as ancient cultures long before them. They still go to spas regularly, for instance, enjoying vigorous hot and cold water applications in addition to using the sauna/steam rooms as well as regular massage and other body therapies and are thereby experiencing better overall health, especially during the Winter months.
Seeing my loved ones over the years probed and prodded while sick, I always felt there must be a gentler and kinder way to attain and maintain health. Contrary to our modern demand for the pill that fixes all and fast, I believe that we need to be kind to our body by eating healthy, exercising regularly and providing the necessary complementary therapies – such as Reiki, Tibetan Acupressure and many others – to help our body stay healthy.
After raising a family and working in the corporate world in Toronto, Ontario, I found the arrival of my first grandchild provided me with the necessary motivation to finally change careers by starting the exciting path into Holistic Health. Very soon I was extremely fortunate to find deeply caring and knowledgeable teachers. I received Reiki I and II training and attunements in 2007 from Savitri Talahatu and Lori-Ann Kim; Reiki III Master/Teacher training and attunement in 2008 from Patti Allen - Reiki Master/Teachers with Usui Shiki Ryoho lineage. In 2010, in Rock Hill, NY, I received the Advanced Reiki and Master training and attunements in the Usui/Tibetan system of healing from William Lee Rand, Senior Reiki Master/Teacher and Founder of the International Center for Reiki Training, Southfield, MI. I also received Tibetan Acupressure System certification training from Rae Hatherton, Master Healer, in 2008. I am a registered Reiki Practitioner with the International Association of Reiki Professionals (IARP).
I feel very honoured to have been shown the path to a profession where I can fully apply my life-long intuition and empathy to other people's needs and will be forever grateful to my wonderful teachers - especially William Lee Rand - his teachings and wisdom are very special.
I realize that by working with my clients, students and animals I will be a life-long student myself - learning more each day from everyone's experiences. I invite you to also start your very own journey to a more gentle and balanced body, mind and soul.
